Old New Love

1. New wallpaper I downloaded from here (via Draw!Pilgrim)
2. New Jacquie Shapiro for French Bull Platter
3. Old 1959 35mm Yashica that belonged to my Dad. Found it when I was unpacking and can't wait to pop some film in it.
4. Old family heirloom tea set that I inherited when I was 10. Will be passed down to Miss 4 when she turns 10 (in keeping with tradition). Had been sitting at Mum's till just this week. Thought it was about time I claimed it.

New Year, New Pre-school

My apologies if you've already read this over at my other blog. I am doing some major blog cheating today!

So, in addition to moving into a new house this year, Miss Poppy also started at a new preschool. Last week was her first day and there was lots of 'I don't want to go', 'I like my old pre-school' going on for days before D Day (or P day should that be?). My teacher brain knew that kids are extremely adaptable but my Mummy brain was having a major attack of the guilts. Just look at that face as she's standing outside the gates scoping it all out. Aargh, major tug on the heartstrings moment there!
Once she was through those gates though it all turned around in an instant. One of the reasons we chose this pre-school for Poppy was because of the fabulous staff and their approach to Early Childhood Education. Poppy instantly warmed to them and was soon in the yard testing out all the equipment.
There were no tears when I left , just a huge smile on that sweet little face of hers.

Summer Days

Sun. Sand. Swimming. Five days away and a break from the stress of moving. Back on the blogging radar soon...

I think I can

This poor little blog of mine has been sadly neglected of late. Between posting on my other blog, Christmas, New Year, packing the entire contents of our house and organising removalists I feel as though I am getting nowhere fast. The living room is a sea of cardboard boxes at the moment and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Especially when you're trying to entertain two little ones and get a million and one things done.
No New Years resolution for me in case you're wondering. In the midst all of the chaos though I've challenged myself to start running again.
Seriously, what on earth am I thinking....?

Note to self: selling house + relocating overseas (not really - NZ is closer than Perth after all) + Christmas = major stress.
Yep, this Mummy had a major meltdown yesterday. Full-on, non-sensical, stark-raving lunatic kind of tantrum where everything and nothing just totally pushed my buttons.

Ugh, another 'open for inspection' tomorrow...

Here and Now

There is something on the horizon. Something big. Life changing. I am at a standstill with my decision. My head and heart are fighting it out. The ball has already started rolling and now I seem powerless to stop it. Do I stop it? Or do I jump feet first? No safety net. No going back...

Birthday bliss

Enjoying his new handmade wooden trolley. It really should have come with a warning: baby rides at parents own risk. Stationary vehicle likely to induce hysterical tantrum of epic proportions. Trolley should be kept moving at all times.
Got it.
